Aizhen Zhang

Aizhen Zhang, PhD, DABR is a senior medical physicist in Michigan Healthcare Professionals (MHP). She received her PhD from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and completed medical physics residency training at Windsor Regional Cancer Center, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Zhang has published many papers in prestigious journals. Her article titled "Comprehensive evaluation and clinical implementation of commercially available Monte Carlo dose calculation algorithm," 14(2) 127 – 145 was selected by the JACMP Board of Editors for “The Award of Excellence for the Best Radiation Measurements Article in 2013.” Prior to joining MHP in March 2023, she was a senior medical physicist at Varian Medical Systems. Dr. Zhang has extensive experience in Elekta and Varian machines, Mosaiq and Aria OIS, Eclipse, BrainLab, and brachytherapy. Dr. Zhang is primarily responsible for external beam radiation and HDR brachytherapy clinic duties of MHP cancer center in Troy, MI.
